Yum Sing Restaurant

I've loved yum sing Reynella for 20 years plus. Their Satay is unbelievable! I'm headed there now actually so I thought id review it whilst we drive. Do try, you'll be a convert after 3 bites.

This is the first time I've eaten here, as I don't live down this way. I was very impressed with the dishes we ordered. We had Satay Steak, Salt & Pepper Squid, Battered Duck with Sweet n Sour Sauce, Steamed Rice, Special Fried Rice & Braised Pork Fresh Mushroom & Baby Corn. Three mineral waters & two glasses of wine, all for $145, that's extremely good value for five people & very good quality food & generous portion sizes.

We love Yum Sing. The food is great and there's plenty of it. There's good off-street parking. They have round tables available which helps good dinner conversation, and the service borders unique - nothing is a problem. They do individual bills for groups - it's actually not hard, they cope with dietry needs and can guide you through getting what you want but meeting your needs. Service is also quick, and they don't "invade" you with their service. Basically, it's "tell us what you want, or want to do, and we'll find a way." May their fortune cookies never cease.

If you're in search of a bustling, traditional Chinese restaurant offering hearty dishes, look no further than Yum Sing in Reynella. This was exactly the experience my companions and I had when we decided to stop by for dinner. Upon entering, we were greeted by a warm, welcoming ambiance. The place was buzzing with families and groups, a testament to its popularity among locals. Starting with the Chicken and Sweet Corn Soup, it was a delightfully comforting experience. Generous chunks of chicken swimming in a tasty broth set a high standard for the dishes to follow. The Singapore Noodles, full of flavor, and the well-prepared fried rice, did not disappoint. The main course featured the Roast Duck in Plum Sauce and the generously portioned Satay Chicken. Both dishes proved to be as satisfying as they sound, with the roast duck standing out with its tasteful sauce and tender meat. For dessert, the deep-fried ice cream and sticky date pudding offered a delightful finish. The combination of hot and cold in the ice cream was pleasantly surprising, and the sticky date pudding hit the sweet spot perfectly. What stood out, apart from the food, was the efficient and friendly service. Despite the hustle and bustle, the staff ensured we were well attended to. As for the pricing, it was reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the dishes. This isn't a fine dining venue, but it certainly stands as a great option for families looking for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. Overall, I'd rate Yum Sing at a strong 7.5 out of 10. It may not be a destination restaurant, but if you find yourself in the area, it's well worth a visit for its wholesome dishes and welcoming ambiance.

Just amazing food, service and venue. 3 generations of Chinese food was just the best ever.

Food was fairly priced with good quality. We enjoyed everything we ordered except for the combination omelette. Recommend the sweet and sour pork and fried rice.

Not a bad place. Food is what you can expect from any good Chinese restaurant, the place could do with a little update I think, tables, settings and pichures on the walls are dated. Service is excellent, waiters are well attentive and very polite. A key feature of this place is the beautiful glass windows that run all the way around the dining area, while the view of the intersection isn't much in the rain as the sun went down it was very nice and I very much enjoyed it. Satay chicken was by far a favourite and they actually sell their mix of it out front.
